Staple Inn dates back to the reign of Elizabeth I and is believed to stand on the site of a Staple or Market established in 1248 under a charter granted by Henry III to merchants trading in the staple goods of hides, wine and wool.

The entrance is through an archway into a cobbled courtyard.

Up to 120 guests can be seated for dining in the magnificent Dining Hall, with its great hammer-beam roof, priceless Elizabethan and Jacobean stained-glass windows, oak panelling and minstrels’ gallery.

We had a fantastic day and as a venue Staple Inn was amazing. Everyone commented on how lovely the hall was. Even with the weather being fairly wet and overcast we were able to get brilliant pictures inside. Joanne couldn't have been more helpful and was actually there as I arrived on the day just to check everything was in place.

The whole experience from booking the venue with Country House Wedding Venues to the actual day was handled so professionally but in such a relaxed way by Joanne that it ensured everything ran perfectly.

Staple Inn was perfect for our wedding day in December and a wonderful alternative to all the tired hotel venues we looked at. We had an excellent wedding day, giving us lots of super photos and memories. The food, by Galloping Gourmet, was really lovely and the service was also very good - not just to the top table, but all our guests were well looked after.
